Riverview's Heart and Vascular Center was opened in 2004. The facility's 14,000 square feet is solely dedicated to heart care patients. The state-of-the-art facility houses 2 fully digital cath labs, a pacemaker/defibrillator lab and a 64-Slice Philips Brilliance CT scanner. The stand-alone heart center has 9 outpatient/same day beds and 7 overnight/post procedure beds.

ConvenienceThe "one-stop shop" is convenient for patients and families. The patient scheduled for an outpatient cath procedure is admitted, prepped and recovered in the stand-alone heart center.
History of Dedication to the CommunityRiverview Regional has long been a regional leader in coronary care. The area's first bypass surgery in northeast Alabama was performed at Riverview in 1982.
