Our heart care specialists offer state-of-the-art heart care, from diagnosis and emergency intervention to the latest treatments, preventive education and rehabilitation.

About Riverview Regional's Heart and Vascular Center

Riverview's Heart and Vascular Center was opened in 2004. The facility's 14,000 square feet is solely dedicated to heart care patients. The state-of-the-art facility houses two fully digital cath labs, a pacemaker/defibrillator lab and a 64-Slice Philips Brilliance CT scanner. The stand-alone heart center has nine outpatient/same day beds and seven overnight/post-procedure beds.

The "one-stop shop" is convenient for patients and families. The patient scheduled for an outpatient cath procedure is admitted, prepped and recovered in the stand-alone heart center.

History of Dedication to the Community

Riverview Regional has long been a regional leader in coronary care. The area's first bypass surgery in northeast Alabama was performed at Riverview in 1982.
